In addition, we have a large selection of imported products, including fabrics from world-famous fabric manufacturers, including those made in Italy, the capital of fashion.

shell button

At our store, we attach shell buttons to custom-made shirts that cost over ¥15,000. Shell button is made by hand by hollowing out large sea shells, carving them, polishing them, and going through many daunting steps. Shell buttons also glow mysteriously when the light hits them, giving them a jewel-like appearance. It seems that the luxurious feel that comes from natural materials cannot be achieved with artificial resin.

Plush interlining

At our store, we use plush interlining instead of adhesive interlining for collars and cuffs. Plush interlining refers to interlining that is not bonded to the shirt's body fabric. It is said to be in the best condition. Since it is not glued, it has a gentle texture, softness, and a luxurious feel. In the case of adhesive interlining, the resin may stain if you iron it many times, but in the case of plush interlining, it will maintain its beautiful appearance forever. However, it takes a lot of work to make a plush interlining, and the plush interlining itself is expensive, and there are a limited number of craftsmen who can do it. Therefore, among shirt lovers, plush is said to be a coveted item.

Fabric count

The fabric count is a unit that indicates the thickness of the threads woven into the fabric. The higher the number, the thinner the thread. In the case of cotton thread in the British style, the first yarn is one that weighs 1 pound (about 454 grams) and is 840 yards (about 768 meters) long. If the length doubles, it becomes second, and if it triples, it becomes third, and if it is 100, it becomes 84,000 yards (76 kilometers). High-count threads need to be twisted thinly, so expensive extra-long staple cotton is used. The thinner the thread, the more lustrous it becomes, and the softer it becomes, giving it a silk-like feel even though it is cotton. However, the thinner the thread, the less durable it will be. Therefore, we use a thread (double thread) that is made by twisting two threads together into a single thread with improved durability. At our store, we mainly handle high count yarns and yarns of double yarn or higher. Once you touch it, you will understand how good it is. Generally, if the warp is a 120 count double thread and the weft is a 120 count double thread, it is written as 120/2 x 120/2. Custom-made shirt shops generally use high-quality fabrics, so high-quality custom-made dress shirts are said to be 80 to 120-count, and high-end custom-made dress shirts are 140-count or higher. For general office use, we recommend fabrics with a count of 80 to 120, and fabrics with a count of 140 or higher for important business negotiations or competitions.

Characteristics by count

It is said that the fabric for shirts that is widely distributed at general retail stores is 40 count. The 120 count white fabric, which is popular at our store, is made from extra-long staple cotton, so as you can see in the photo, the thickness of the threads woven into it is thinner. The thinner the threads are, the more shiny and comfortable they are to the touch, and the smoother the surface is, which makes it harder for fluff and dust to stick to them, as well as for dirt to stick to them, and the fluff to come off easily when washed, giving it a beautiful appearance.
